We are pleased to announce the return of in-person talks! Our first one will be on June 9, at the King’s Arms, and will feature Polyp talking about Thomas Paine.
Born to an ordinary working class family in Norfolk, Paine was variously a corset maker, a privateer, a hugely influential figure in the War of Independence, an exile, a prisoner, and a resolute atheist. His writings celebrate logic, science and enlightenment values, but also deliver a piercing attack on religious fundamentalism.

This event will be online, on the Skeptics in the Pub Twitch channel.
Casual chatting, chilling, mingling. Topics will probably veer from Skeptical and science, to things like movies and humorous current affairs.
